Blog Title?

Hi all, I would like to add to or change the name of my blog, so I have an idea, but I would love your input.   Thank you so much! "Busy Being Dizzy"    I like this one, but I am dealing with so many other facets and symptoms that I can't possible list, much less rhyme.   Please let me know what you think, and of any ideas you have for me! Long Overdue Post

Image
Hi everyone, I am so long overdue on posting, and I plan to get a lot better about more timely entries. I have been having a very rough winter!  The wind is so bad, and keeps me from being outside.  The wind causes my dizziness to get much worse and amplified. My migraines have not changed much, but these strong cold fronts that come through have really made some days of migraines unbearable. I have had a very bad week and a half, and finally today, I feel that I can write.  I am still not doing a whole lot, but, I am happy to be able to write. Yesterday, I was so weak and fatigued, I couldn't even speak.  I was dizzy, had a migraine all day, had trouble walking around by myself.  I needed a great deal of help.  I also woke up at 12:39am, and only took a couple of short naps.  The photo isn't pretty or glamorous by any means, but it shows me asleep wearing my eye massager, and using my butterfly pillow, which is a perfect neck pillow, and keeps m...

First Beach Experience since Vestibular Migraines and PPPD started...

Image
Good Morning, Last weekend, My Best friend and I went to Carolina Beach for the weekend. It was my first trip to the Beach in over 2 years, since my Vestibular Migraines, PPPD, and all the daily dizziness and symptoms that accompany that. Anyway, We had a great time. We went out to the beach once, and let me say, it was a Challenge for sure. The area we were in was beautiful, peaceful, and not crowded at all! We got to the access, or so we thought, and it was a good 6-8 foot drop to get down to the sand/water. While we were trying to figure out how to accomplish this task together, we started down the makeshift sand slide others had made, and then 2 gentlemen came over and offered their help! It was wonderful. So, Briana took my cane and the gentlemen helped walk me down to the sand below. It was a challenge, but it seems that kindness still exists. We walked for about 10 minutes, it was very windy, and that makes my dizziness worse, but I was determined to make...

The POST post!

Image
Hi Everyone, I just wanted to show off the post that my wonderful son made for me, to help me get up and/ or stabilize myself when I stand up from my chair, when I need it. He had the idea, designed it, used materials we had, and went to Lowe’s for the pedestal, and made this for me. I decorated it once it was finished. It’s wonderful and very helpful! Thank you my dear son!❤️💜🤩😊🥰 Until next time, take care! Sarah

More Favorite's

Image
Hello again, I wanted to share a few more of my favorite things,  and maybe some of these will interest you too. Some of my Favorite shows are The Golden Girls, ( I am 45, and have been watching this show since I was 15 years old), The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, Monk, Psych, Friends, The Dexter shows, and Mash.  I'm sure there are more, but I can't think of anymore right now. I often shop on Amazon, Walmart, Ulta, Hobby Lobby, Barnes and Noble, The Lego Store, Vera Bradley, Skechers and Bath and Body Works. I generally shop from home, it's easier for me, I get so dizzy and exhausted when we are out. I think in my next post, I will share some of the wonderful items that I have purchased on Amazon, that have really helped me manage the many many symptoms I am dealing with on a daily basis. I like to cook, always have, but it is much harder for me now, and I often need help.  I also often fall in the kitchen, and found an extra large yoga mat that was perfect for...

Things that make me Smile

Image
Hi again, I am not sure If I am reaching anyone, but I will write anyway. I thought I would share a few things that make me smile and bring me happiness. I have a loving husband of 21 years, and an amazing son who is 19! They are always taking care of me, and making sure I am okay, and helping me do all sorts of things. My parents, are amazing, and also so very supportive! I also have some amazing friends and family, and extended friends of friends, and so on, that are also so wonderful, and supportive. I love the color purple, and I love to coordinate colors, and outfits, even when I never leave the house, and that can often be for a week or more at a time. Sometimes, that's because I need to stay home because I have lists in every room, or because I am not feeling well. Sometimes, it's a choice. I love Vera Bradley bags of all kinds and sizes and colors, Skechers shoes, of all colors, I do have a few favorite types of shoe. I love The Pioneer Woman...
